Achieva Promotes the HEADs UP Act at National Conference

Vanessa Rastovic and three other ladies on the panel.

Achieva’s Disability Health Policy Director, Vanessa Rastovi?, educated the audience on how health disparities impact people with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD) during a panel discussion at the 2024 Disability Policy Seminar in Washington, DC.

Highlighted in her remarks was the importance of the HEADS Up Act, which would provide federal funding incentives for physicians to treat medically underserved populations, including those with IDD.

There are currently three groups with the medically underserved designation. HEADs UP amends the Public Health Service Act (PHSA) to designate people with IDD as an additional medically underserved population.

Ask Congress to Cosponsor the HEADS Up Act.
