Achieva's biggest fundraising event, the Pittsburgh Promenade, raised more than $152,000 to support people with disabilities and their families. 230 guests were welcomed to "set sail with Achieva" during the tropical-themed event (the first in-person Promenade held since March 2019), hosted by WTAE's Elena LaQuatra.
During the evening's "Fund the Mission" appeal, guests watched a
success story about Zachary Handelmen who, along with his parents, was supported by Achieva advocate Amy Guthrie. Generous contributors designated more than $19,000 to Achieva's advocacy mission, exceeding Achieva's $15,000 goal.
The hard work of Achieva employees and volunteers, along with the generosity of new and returning guests and donors contributed to the successful event. Their contribution of time and financial gifts will help to change thousands of lives throughout the coming year.
