Special needs trusts allow people with disabilities to protect their assets while remaining eligible for Medicaid health care, Home and Community-Based Services funded by Medicaid, and Supplemental Security Income (SSI) - all critically important to help people with disabilities live self-determined lives in the community and avoid having to live in institutions. Achieva Family Trust offers three types of special needs trusts: Pooled Trusts, Payback Trusts, and Third-Party Trusts. Each allows for the preservation of funds so that necessities - like home modifications, adapted vehicles, and specialized treatments or medications can be paid for while preserving eligibility for lifelong supports and services.
