Pittsburgh, PA, – Achieva Family Trust is proud to announce a historic milestone, surpassing $2 million in charitable distributions through the Charitable Residual Program for the 2023-2024 fiscal year. This marks the first time in our organization's history that such a significant amount has been distributed to provide supplemental goods and services for people with disabilities who have a demonstrated need.
Eligible applicants must reside in Pennsylvania and have disabilities that may include developmental, physical, or mental health disorders. Commonly requested items include home and vehicle modifications, iPads, adapted bikes and strollers, and camp and other recreational activities.
“We are thrilled to achieve this incredible milestone,” said Amy Dolan Strano, Achieva Family Trust President and Senior Vice President of Achieva. “Surpassing the $2 million mark demonstrates the positive impact of pooled trusts. We are committed to continuing our work and hope to expand our support to even more people during the upcoming year.”
Established in 2005, Achieva Family Trust’s Charitable Residual Account is the landing spot for funds that remain after a beneficiary of a Pooled Trust has passed away. That money is then available to residents of Pennsylvania with a range of disabilities. To date, it has granted over $12 million in supplemental supports and services through the Charitable Residual Program.
Achieva Family Trust looks forward to continuing its efforts to provide vital support and services to those in need. Requests for Achieva Family Trust’s Charitable Residual Account are accepted through an online application process. The quarterly application deadlines are January 1, April 1, July 1, and October 1. Questions about the program can be directed to Jennifer Stoyer, Community & Charitable Trust Coordinator, at 412-995-5000 Ext. 493.
