Katherine Reim, Executive Director of The Arc Erie County, is enthusiastic about continuing the annual tradition at a new venue. “It will be a fun day, but more importantly, proceeds will enable more people in the greater Erie region to benefit from The Arc Erie County’s support.”
Erie Sports Center is generously donating the use of their facilities. Owner Troy Bingham believes the event will be fantastic for the community. “Sports are a crucial element to getting people included in everyday lives. The bonds we see formed are incredible; I think this walk and the amenities offered by the Erie Sports Center have the ability to do the same thing for participants. We are very happy to be making sports more accessible for all kids in our community” After the walk, guests can enjoy rounds of go-karts and mini-golf or try their skills in the batting cages. In addition, an intro to several sports will serve as an introduction to guests who may want to experience a new form of physical activity.
Individuals can register for $20, and a family of four or more can register for $80. All participants receive an official BuddyWalk T-Shirt for their participation, provided by PA Link.
Registration can be completed online.
