Hello, my name is Jessica Briggs and I have been with Achieva for 21 years. Throughout my 21 years, I have worked in Residential, Vocational Supports and now in The Family Trust.
Currently, I am the Trust Administrative Manager, but have been in several roles within the trust. I have a passion for working with people to find ways that I can help them in all stages of life. I graduated from Slippery Rock University with a degree in Community Programming for Americans with Disabilities.
When I am not at work, I am with my two boys and my husband, most likely doing something around sports. Both of my boys are highly involved in hockey and soccer, so you will find me on the sidelines cheering them on. I would say that I have a passion for baking and trying out new recipes.
Hi, my name is Dean Holden and I am a Trust Assistant with Achieva Family Trust. I am 27 years old and from Columbus, Ohio. I moved to Pittsburgh with my partner, Kyle, almost 3 years ago. In my search for a new job in this new city, I came across Achieva and felt moved by their mission of empowering people with disabilities, and so I applied! Now I get to come into work every day and feel good knowing that I am directly helping people live fuller, brighter lives.
When I am not at work, I am a hobbyist at heart. My hobbies change quite often, but these days you can find me in front of a sewing machine and upcycling old garments into something new. I like to play a part in keeping things out of a landfill! I also enjoy going on hikes in Frick Park with my partner and our poodle, Moose! While we are naturally very curious and always excited to explore nature, that doesn't stop us from getting in a few good board games with our friends on the weekends.
